Callander Legion now Authorized Empty Bottle Depot

At the end of July the Callander Legion became the Authorized Empty Bottle Dealer for the Beer Store for our area.

“When the Lucky 13 closed,” said Legion member Chuck Parr, “we decided to try to become the dealer and got it. The money we make helps us to pay bills including the hydro bill which is around $2,000 a month. It contributes to keeping the Legion floating.”

You pull in and right up to the front of the building and the volunteers will help you unload. Everything is clean at the Depot and neatly sorted in the building.

“It has worked out fantastic,” said Parr, “we have even had a few donate the bottle money back to the Legion. It’s great to work with the community.”

The Hours of Operation will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The Return Depot is located on the west side of the building facing M.T. Davidson School.
