Candidate: Darryl Colnar

Darryl Colnar, his wife and family have lived in the rural area of Callander since 2012 and are happy to call Callander their home.

Darryl has managed Callander’s water and wastewater operations and has an in-depth knowledge of the infrastructure as it relates to the distribution/collection of water and wastewater, lagoons, roads and facilities. Through his work he has worked with the Mayor, Council, Municipal staff and the local fire department in giving presentations, recommendations or dealing with emergencies.

Darryl does not have a long political background but does have extensive knowledge in operations, budget, negotiations, asset management, environmental services, project management, emergency planning, capital planning, water and wastewater, interacting with all levels of government and Occupational Health and Safety.

“My voter priorities are to improve representation of rural residents to address ongoing issues, identify saving and funding to strategically invest in our infrastructure and operations group and reduce taxes and table ongoing proposed project to prioritize completion. I want to prioritize wants vs needs. If elected, it would be my job to listen and work hard for you with Council.”
